About The Owner
Alexandra Carroll is the founder and owner of Galore Consignment, a Chicago-based online consignment company known for its signature pink-glove approach to resale.
Alexandra’s love of fashion and retail started early. She grew up in Orlando with family roots in Chicago and spent plenty of time shopping thrift stores, antique shops and flea markets with her mom. She also got her first taste of retail while working at a small women’s fashion boutique during high school and college summers, at one point even alongside her mom.
She attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta, and spent four years working at Walt Disney World. After college, Alexandra returned to Chicago and continued building her career, including corporate roles with Chick-fil-A and Kraft Heinz, while growing her resale business on the side.
What started as selling finds on eBay for extra spending money eventually became Galore Consignment. In 2018, Alexandra left corporate life to take the business full time. Today, with more than 15 years of online resale experience and 18 years in retail, she and her team help clients across the country clean out their closets and turn clothing, shoes and accessories they’re no longer wearing into money back in their pockets, all without clients having to do the work themselves.
When she’s not surrounded by racks of clothing at work or browsing thrift stores, Alexandra loves traveling with her husband, Tim, and can usually be found at her weekly horseback riding lesson.
